How to Load a Track Database

Updated on May 18, 2026

Occasionally Racelogic will release new versions of the track map database in order to introduce new circuit maps and start/finish lines - and also to update any older tracks with new layouts.

The track map database stored in VBOX Mini LapTimers is automatically updated during firmware updates, however, you can also update the database manually without updating the unit's firmware.

View information about the latest Track Database including the available circuits and download the file on the VBOX motorsport website.

To update your VBOX Mini LapTimer with the latest track database, use the following steps:

  1. Download the TRACKS.BDB file to your PC.
  2. Copy the TRACKS.BDB file to the DATA directory on the SD card.
  1. Insert the SD card into the Mini LapTimer unit.
  2. Use the on-screen menu to load the track database from the card to the unit.
(MENU Lap Timing Menu Load Tracks Data OK)

The Mini LapTimer unit will now update the database accordingly.
