Symptoms
- Predictive lap timing remains fixed on screen.
- Predictive values display incorrect numbers, for example -99.
- Lap time updates normally, but predictive timing does not.
Possible Causes
- Corrupted reference lap data.
- GPS position spikes during reference lap recording.
GPS spikes can occur when the vehicle is:
- Parked inside or near garages.
- Close to pit buildings or large metal structures.
Reflected satellite signals can create large position errors which corrupt the reference lap.
Resolution
Reset Lap Timing Data
- Open the predictive timing screen.
- Press and hold the centre square button for more than 4 seconds.
- Wait for the confirmation message: "LAP DATA RESET".
This removes the corrupted reference lap.
Record a New Reference Lap
- Drive a complete lap to create a new reference lap.
Predictive lap timing should now operate normally.
Prevention
To reduce the risk of corrupted reference laps:
- Avoid recording reference laps near garages or large buildings.
- Ensure the vehicle has a clear view of the sky where possible.
