To allow ADC03 to communicate with Video VBOX it needs to be set into ‘Timed Mode’ using VBOX Setup:

The timer value is in milliseconds (ms). A smaller value means data will be sent more frequently, a larger value means data will be sent less frequently. The range of values that can be entered is 0 to 65535 however the minimum value that should be entered is 10. Below this value data values may be repeated on successive cycles. If a value of 0 is entered the module will change it to 1 on the next power cycle.

ADC03 can then be configured for use with Video VBOX as an additional input module in Video VBOX Setup software.

ADC03 then needs to be configured for use with Video VBOX as an additional input module in Video VBOX Setup software.

Open Video VBOX Setup and select ‘Inputs’ and ‘Load’ in the Scene Properties menu.

Load a .dbc file for ADC03 which can be downloaded from the VBOX Automotive here. This will allow Video VBOX to identify the input channels from ADC03. Tick to select the channels of interest to log:

Note: _ext is for use with the extended ID’s setting of ADC03.

With the .dbc file loaded, channels received from ADC03 can be assigned to specific elements in the Video VBOX scene as required.

For further information on working with elements and creating scenes, please see the Video VBOX User Manual here.
