03 - Speed Sensor LED Indicators

There are 3 LED indicators on the top of  the VBSS to show the status of operation.

PWR

Indicates that the VBSS is powered correctly.

Solid green LED = OK                              

Solid red LED = power on, but box not working correctly. 

SATS

  • Flashing red indicates no satellites in view
  • Flashing green sequence indicates the number of GPS satellites currently being tracked. Each flash indicates a satellite with a short pause between each sequence.
  • Flashing orange sequence indicates the number of GLONASS Satellites currently being tracked. Each flash indicates a satellite with a short pause between each sequence.

EVENT

Flashes in time with the digital pulse output.

Digitial Output set to 'Speed'              

If the digital output is set to speed then the EVENT LED will flash green in time with speed at a rate of 1/10th of the digital output.

 

Digitial Output set to 'Lap Pulse'

If the digital output is configured for the Lap Pulse,  the EVENT LED shows green for 1s when the start line is triggered. The EVENT LED and SATS LED both show green for 1s if the finish line is triggered.

 

NB: The EVENT LED and the GPS LED will be constantly lit red for the duration of a coldstart.
