Unfortunately, Windows will only format a removable drive in FAT32 if it’s less than 32 GB.
Many third party software programs can be used to reformat CF cards to allow them to work correctly with our products - we can recommend this tool as a free option.

Format External Hard Drive in FAT32 using DOS
Open a command window by going to Start, then Run and typing in CMD.
Now type in the following command at the prompt, replacing the letter X with the letter of your external hard drive in Windows:
format /FS:FAT32 X:
- When it prompts for a label name in the command, enter the letter of your external hard drive and press Enter.
- Windows will go ahead and begin formatting the drive in FAT32.
